Why a Family Yacht Day Is Miami’s Easiest Win
A day on the water is the rare Miami outing that works for every age at once. Grandparents relax in the shade, kids swim off the back, and teenagers finally look up from their phones – all on one boat, all day, with a captain doing the driving. Board at the marina and cruise the calm, protected water of Biscayne Bay past Star Island toward a sandbar.
The bay is what makes it easy: sheltered water, short runs, and a sandbar where little ones can stand in waist-deep turquoise while everyone else swims. Our mid-size motor yachts have a floating pool, shaded seating, and room to spread out, and the bigger yachts in our fleet bring water toys – Sea-Doos, a wakeboard, water skis – for the older kids.
Charters run year-round, and mornings are calmest for families with young children, so we often suggest an early start. Rates begin at $1,700 for a half-day sport yacht, captain and crew included. Bring your own snacks and drinks, or let us arrange catering, and tell us the ages aboard so we match you with the right yacht and route.

How much does a family yacht charter in Miami cost?
The yacht charter starts at $1,700 for a half-day on a sport yacht; mid-size motor yachts that fit most families run $3,000-$5,500 for four hours. Catering and other add-ons are quoted separately. Florida tax and crew gratuity are added at booking.
Is a yacht day fun for young kids?
Yes. We cruise the calm, protected water of Biscayne Bay, and a sandbar stop lets younger kids play in shallow, waist-deep water while the group swims. Tell us the ages in your party and the captain sets an easy pace and a route to match.
What can families do on board?
Swim and play at a sandbar, ride water toys like Sea-Doos, a wakeboard, and water skis on the larger yachts, cool off in the floating pool, and take in the sights past Star Island. Bring your own snacks or add catering.
How many people can come on a family charter?
Private charters are limited to 13 guests, including children. For a larger family reunion we can arrange two yachts cruising together.
Can we bring food and drinks for the kids?
Yes. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks, and BYOB is fine for the adults. Ice, a cooler, and bottled water are on board. Prefer it handled? We can arrange catering.
When should we book, and what time is best?
Reserve 2-3 weeks ahead for weekend dates. Mornings are usually calmest for families with young kids. Last-minute weekday charters are often possible, so call or text to check availability.
